This Privacy Policy explains how Jobbi ("we", "us", or "the app") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect and store the following types of information that you provide:

• Account information — email address, profile preferences such as nationality, preferred locations, salary expectations, and preferred currencies.
• Job-tracking data — jobs you save, application statuses, descriptions, notes, tags, cover letter text, and related metadata.
• Uploaded documents — CVs, cover letters, and job attachments you upload for storage or AI evaluation. These are stored securely and accessible only to your account.
• Evaluation history — results from AI-powered CV and cover letter evaluations, including scores, feedback, and timestamps.

When you use location search, we process location queries and selected locations to support search and mapping features. When you use currency conversion features, we process exchange rate data to display salary information in your preferred currencies.

3. AI-Powered Features

Jobbi uses Google Gemini to provide AI-powered CV and cover letter evaluations. When you request an evaluation:

• The text content of your document (extracted from uploaded files or pasted text) and any job description you provide are sent to Google Gemini for analysis.
• Evaluation results are cached to avoid redundant API calls. You can choose to regenerate a fresh evaluation at any time.
• We do not use your documents or evaluation data to train AI models. Google's processing of this data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Authentication and Third-Party Services

Authentication is provided through Supabase, including email/password login and Google Sign-In (OAuth). If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile details needed for account access.

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting and deployment.
• Mapbox — location search and map features.
• Google Gemini — AI-powered document evaluation.
• LemonSqueezy — payment processing for subscription plans.
• PostHog — product analytics and session replay (consent-gated, see Section 5).

These services may process technical data such as IP address, device/browser information, and request metadata to provide their services.

5. Analytics and Cookies

We use PostHog for product analytics, session replay, and feature flag delivery to understand how features are used and to improve the app. PostHog tracking is consent-gated — it is only activated if you explicitly accept analytics when prompted by the cookie consent banner.

If you accept analytics, we may collect:

• Page views and feature usage patterns.
• Anonymous user identifiers linked to your account.
• Device type and browser information.
• Session replay data to help us debug product issues and improve flows.

If you decline, no analytics data is collected or sent to PostHog. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will re-display the consent banner.

We respect your browser's Do Not Track (DNT) setting. If DNT is enabled, PostHog tracking is not activated even if consent is granted.

6. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Provide job tracking, saved-job management, and related app features.
• Store and manage your uploaded CVs and cover letters.
• Provide AI-powered evaluation and feedback on your documents.
• Display salary information in your preferred currencies.
• Process subscription payments and manage your plan.
• Track feature usage to enforce plan limits.
• Enable login, security, and session management.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the app.

7. Data Storage and Security

Account data, job records, evaluation history, and uploaded documents are stored through Supabase infrastructure. Uploaded files are stored in private storage buckets accessible only to the owning user account. Row-level security policies ensure users can only access their own data.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be fully secure.

8. Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by LemonSqueezy. We do not store your payment card details. LemonSqueezy handles all payment processing and provides us with subscription status information to manage your plan and feature access.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers only as needed to operate the app, as described in Sections 4 and 5. Document content is shared with Google Gemini only when you explicitly request an AI evaluation.

10. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Evaluation cache data may be periodically cleared.

11. Your Choices

You can:

• Update or remove saved jobs, CVs, cover letters, and other data within the app.
• Delete individual evaluation history entries.
• Accept or decline analytics cookies via the consent banner.
• Manage your subscription and payment details through LemonSqueezy.
• Stop using the app at any time.
• Request account deletion through the support channel you use for this service.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted on this page with an updated effective date.
